Instant Messaging Collaboration Engineer

Position Objectives

The engineer will play a central role in defining and implementing the technical architecture during the project and implementation phases of collaboration platforms, including Skype for Business and Symphony. This will involve working with global counterparts to detail regional requirements, providing input on design decisions, and supporting the regional infrastructure. The engineer must have strong experience with instant messaging platforms, including managing infrastructure buildouts and supporting users.

Position Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the Skype for Business platform
Integrate new collaborative features, including audio/video and Skype/Cisco integration
Support and mature the Symphony Collaboration suite
Manage the industrialization and monitoring of collaborative platforms
Insure legal and compliance requirements are met across the collaborative platforms
Document support procedures
Support and troubleshoot the collaborative platforms including on-call support
Assist with level 3 support, including change management and support/request handling

Position Requirements

Expert level experience with Skype for Business and Skype/Cisco integration
Knowledge of the Symphony Collaboration suite preferred
Knowledge of Unix/Linux in relation to IM components (encryption, key management)
Experience with IM compliance suites
Strong project management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Service oriented, positive, committed and enthusiastic team player with a flexible “can do” approach to work
